What is Committee?

Each local area has a committee of adults who believes in the mission of Young Life: to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and to help them grow in their faith. You'll find adults from all different backgrounds, careers, churches, and community organizations and business - including lots of moms and dads who care about kids. Area Young Life Committees are comprised of parents, Young Life alumni and civic leaders. The Committee provides a foundation of financial, administrative and spiritual and moral support for the local Young Life team. Our South Suburban Area is in the process of forming our committee. If you have an interest, questions or a referral, please contact our Area Director, Kimberly Salley at 708-717-5231 or at ksal4357@gmail.com.

An Essential Foundation

Committee is the foundation for the sustainability of Young Life in our South Suburban Area. Oftentimes, new Young Life clubs start because of the interest and awareness created by the committee. Volunteer leaders are recruited and supported by committee.  The Committee enthusiastically advocates and provides a spiritual covering for the mission, as well as the Area Director, staff, volunteer leaders and adult helpers - who serve the youth within our Area.
